Supporting diverse student needs

Each classroom is made up of students with a wide range of diverse needs and learning styles. Using the guidance included within our program materials, the Smiling Mind Primary School Program can be adapted to meet the needs of most students.

Our program provides training and resources for educators to explore how they can best set their classroom up for success, and dives deeper into some of the common challenges when teaching social emotional learning.

Guides are provided on how to adapt the program for different student needs within the classroom, as well as special topic training videos on topics such as ‘Working with Trauma’ and ‘Working with ADHD’. In addition, all of our lesson plans and supporting materials have been designed using trauma-informed principles.
