Overview of the Primary Classroom Curriculum

Modified on Wed, 3 Jul at 3:09 PM

The Primary Classroom Curriculum is an evidence-based approach to supporting mental health, resilience and wellbeing of children. Our curriculum equips educators with a pedagogical framework, lesson plans, student-facing presentations, meditations, resources, and classroom and take-home activities. The curriculum proactively supports educators and students to develop social and emotional learning (SEL) skills they need to thrive in today’s modern world.

Developed by psychologists, mindfulness specialists and educators, the learning content is mapped to the Australian Curriculum, and covers fundamental mindfulness-based emotional and social skills, positive education strategies and mental health literacy, to support improved wellbeing and learning outcomes.

There are 20 lessons in the Program for Years 1 - 6, with each lesson covering a different aspect of SEL. Designed as a teacher-guided, front-of-class resource, the curriculum provides both teacher support and lesson planning, as well as an engaging Student View for use in the classroom.
